Are your palms sweating excessively all the time? You may be suffering from a condition which doctors call Hyperhidrosis. Having sweaty palms can be really embarrassing when you are in a formal situation where you are expected to shake hands with people you meet. However, there are some sweaty palm home remedies available for getting relief.

The following is some Home remedies for curing Sweaty Palms:

  • Iontophoresis - This process involves the application of a mild electrical current to your palms so that the hyper active sweat ducts get blocked for at least around six weeks. A device named “Drionic” is used for this purpose.
  • Using the same treatment that you use for the underarms - This works for mild cases of Hyperhidrosis. This involves the rubbing of underarm antiperspirant on sweaty palms. However, this treatment works only when the antiperspirants contain the drying agent, Aluminum Chlorohydrate.
  •     Handling Stress - This is one of the most effective ways of controlling Hyperhidrosis, as sweaty palms are essentially caused somewhat by anxiety and stress.
  • Soaking the sweaty palms in Tea Solution - Immersing your hands in tea solution for at least 20 minutes a day before going to bed is another way of curing the condition. The Tea solution contains tannic acid which helps in treating simple cases of sweaty palms.
  •    Diet Plans- It is important to reduce consumption of foods rich in iodine, for example: liver, beef, white onions, asparagus, broccoli, turkey etc.
  •   Keep a Tiny Rosin Bag in Your Pant Pocket - You can get these in most sports goods shops. Rosin bags have a great ability to absorb moisture. So, the next time you are about to shake your hands with someone, you can just put your hands in your pocket and grasp the rosin bag before the hand shake.
  •   Drink Sage Tea - This is another home remedy for treating sweaty palms. The Zinc in Sage Tea helps to decrease the sweating and also the body odor. However, you should avoid prolonged consumption of zinc, as it can hinder the assimilation of copper.
  •   Rub Alcohol on the Palms - This helps in absorbing the sweat and making your palms clean and dry.

These are just a few of the many available sweaty palm home remedies. Use these and get rid of your sweaty palms. So, the next time you meet someone, you can shake hands with confidence.
