Migraine is a dreadful disease among all ages of human population. This disease amounts huge loss in the total man days in a country. So this is a high time to get to know about the foods that triggers migraine. If you avoid these foodstuffs, you won’t be suffered from Migraine.
Do avoid bananas, apples, onions, tomatoes, nuts and peanuts, citrus fruits, eggs, chocolate, dairy products. These foods are called as common trigger foods. Most of us know that coffee is the best beverage that will cure migraine immediately. Most of the migraineurs used to take coffee once they feel head ache because coffee contains caffeine. But this is worst triggers of migraine. Please avoid coffee. Even herbal tea is also not advisable.
Other foodstuffs that need to be avoided completely include apples, corn, onions, tomatoes, nuts and peanuts, wheat, meat, citrus fruits, eggs, chocolate, and dairy products (Yogurt, cheese, skim and whole cow’s milk, etc.)
Other worst triggers of migraine include nitrates, aspartame (Nutrasweet), monosodium glutamate, caffeinated drinks (Colas, tea and coffee) and alcoholic beverages (especially red wine).
